5 Simple ways to include some Self-Love into your (busy) day
I know, “me time”, self-love, self-care can often fall to the bottom of the list, especially when we are busy and being pulled from every direction (hello motherhood / work / life juggle!)
No matter how busy we are self love can still (and should) be part of our day.
It can be as simple as guiding your inner voice to choose more positive loving messages. Or by prioritising things that fill your soul and create passion.
Remember “𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶.”— 𝘙𝘶𝘱𝘪 𝘒𝘢𝘶𝘳.
Bringing more love into your life starts with loving yourself first.
When you treat yourself with love and respect, you will open yourself up to all of the greatness that you deserve. It makes it easier to radiate and shine in the light that you are.
Here’s some ways to build some powerful practises to add a dose of self love into the busiest day -
1. Non negotiable - speak to yourself with kindness
Check in with the voice in your head. Is it kind and loving?
Try this - In the shower talk to yourself! Set your intentions. Say your affirmations out loud. Use your favourite energising scented shower gel.
As you are getting ready, compliment yourself out loud or to yourself. As you look in the mirror or brush your hair notice something you admire about yourself.
2. Create a moment of calm + connection
Create some calm healthy habits. Things that your mind can start to rely on, things that bring peace and connection to self, like breathwork and meditating.
Try this - a 5-minute meditation - breathe and visualise what you want to create, connect with the feeling of it being accomplished. Open your heart. The more you do this the more open you will be to love, life, possibilities and your innate power.
3. Pause and Write
Choose a few affirmations that resonate with you, perhaps something you are working toward, it could be something you want to manifest, or maybe a gentle reminder.
Try this - Write yourself love notes on sticky notes. Stick them in your space - mirror lap top by the front door, in your journal. Keep coming back to these words throughout your day.
4. Create rituals you love
I find rituals especially helpful when I’m overwhelmed or when negative thoughts start to creep in. It really is an instant reset and over time will shift your mindset to bring more positivity, happiness and fulfilment in your life.
Try this - Light your candle, breathe in the scent and repeat your affirmations with love and intention. Allow the words to fill your being. Believe in you new positive narrative.
5. Evening Gratitude
Gratitude really does fill me up and the fuller I feel, the more positive I feel.
Try this - Spend some time each evening and write down at least five things you're grateful for. If you can stretch this to fill a page.
Don’t forget to reflect on on how far you’ve come. Celebrate your journey so far and how powerful you are in creating what’s to come.
Please do make time to nurture your beautiful selves with kindness and compassion (and remember to tell yourself those 3 statements)
I AM LOVED
I AM WORTHY
I AM ENOUGH
